BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF DAVID GAY
Started preaching 1957
Married 1961 (wife died 1997)
Three children, all converted, all married. My son is a Reformed Baptist Teaching Elder
I was a Mathematics Teacher for 25 years
I was a Reformed Baptist Teaching Elder 20 years
Now (2014) engaged in an itinerant preaching and writing ministry (Amazon, Kindle, sermonaudio, YouTube etc.)
How I came to new-covenant position: I started as Arminian Baptist (young believer in total ignorance – I wasn’t really anything theological). Became Reformed Baptist. Fell in with the Open Brethren while at university and just after. Moved back to Reformed – Strict Baptist. My wife and I and three others formed a Reformed Baptist Church in 1977. I became an elder.
Banner of Truth published my Voyage to Freedom in 1984. Preaching through Hebrews challenged my position in the law, particularly the sabbath. John Brown (published by Banner of Truth!) helped me greatly. Preaching through Galatians persuaded me on the law (again John Brown excellent except at one little place. Walt Chantry started well but swung back to the Reformed position at the critical node – this also helped me to see the wrongness of the Reformed position). But still Reformed enough to be able to give a paper at the Leicester Banner Conference in 1993 on ‘Preaching the Gospel to Sinners’ (available on my page at sermonaudio).
Writing, stimulating conversations etc. all moved me to become stronger and stronger on the new covenant position. And so to today...

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF GEOFF VOLKER
I was born on October 28, 1950 in Meadville, Pennsylvania. I come from a Roman Catholic family of 4 brothers and a sister. I became a believer right before my 3rd year at the university. After the university I attended and graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. This is the official seminary of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). It was in seminary that I embraced the doctrines of grace.
I also met my wife (Priscilla) during my time at Covenant and we have now been married for over 41 years. I have 4 children and 7 grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
In my first Presbyterian pastorate I changed my views on baptism from infant baptism to believer’s baptism and had to leave the denomination. In my next pastorate I came across what is now New Covenant Theology (NCT). In 1984 I was part of a group that started a campus ministry called the Whitefield Society on the Arizona State University campus.
In 1990 this ministry became In-Depth Studies, which is a teaching ministry that teaches from the perspective of the doctrines of grace and New Covenant Theology. I am currently the director of IDS. I am also one of the elders at New Covenant Bible Fellowship in Tempe, Arizona.
ABOUT "EXPLORING NEW COVENANT THEOLOGY"
This web-site was set up in the first place to advertise the first U.K. Conference 13th-15 May 2016.
Our aim is to make the teaching of ‘New Covenant Theology’ more widely known and accepted here in the U.K..
NCT has had a longer history and coverage in the United States and there you will find quite a large number of web-sites, churches and seminaries that teach or promote NCT. However, not all of them are of equal value and because NCT is still emerging as an alternative “Systematic Theology” there are points of difference which are a part of our ongoing studies and discussions.
NCT is seen by us as an alternative (and more Biblical) ‘Systematic Theology’. If these terms are new to you, then it is highly probable that you already hold to some of the teachings of the other two major “Systematic Theologies”! They are known as “Covenant Theology” (CT) and “Dispensational Theology” (DT) .
What we encourage you to do, is to be a ‘Berean’! [Acts 17 11, 'These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.']
